The Doniphan West Music Department would like to announce the December 2025 Mustang Musicians of the Month. Kindergarten-Wren Owens Wren is a great student who listens well and follows directions. She works hard each day to do what is expected of her and to learn all she can. 1st Grade-Knox Yurth Knox is always a great helper! He is very trustworthy and responsible and always willing to help others! 2nd Grade-Miah Terry Miah listens well and has a great attitude. She is a happy student with a great sense of humor and works hard to get things done. 2nd Grade-Tenley Peuker Tenley is a happy and funny student who is always smiling and often laughing. She works hard and listens well, consistently doing what she needs to each day. 3rd Grade-Finley Wilson Finley is a great student who works hard daily. She listens well and works hard without complaint. She is nice and treats others well. 4th Grade-Bristol Neibling Bristol has a good attitude and is a hard worker. She listens well and does a great job following directions. She is a good friend to others. 5th Grade-Allie Freeman Allie is a great student who always works hard. She has a great attitude and comes to class ready to learn. She works well with others and treats others kindly. 5th Grade Band-Justiss Blanton Justiss always tries her best and has a good attitude. She has pushed herself beyond what has been taught in class and continues to excel, working well ahead in her book. She was part of a duet that did an amazing job at the concert. 6th Grade-Jace Thompson Jace is a well-rounded student who works hard every day. He focuses to get his work done and better himself. He is a good friend and treats others kindly. 6th Grade Band-Koder Saunders Koder is a good trumpet player who practices a lot. During band, he listens and works hard and has become really good. One student even commented that he is a wonderful human who plays his horn wonderfully. Junior High Band-Rylee Peuker Rylee has been doing an amazing job in band. This year, she began playing the Bari Sax and has been doing a great job. She listens well and shows daily improvement. High School Band-AJ Hoffman AJ has been working very hard this year. She has been practicing to make sure she gets her parts down and to get better at playing the drums. She is a great friend to others. High School Band-Londynn Kleinschmit Londynn works hard everyday. She is constantly playing and practicing on the drums. She has also been working on learning to play the piano and did an amazing job on her solo at the concert. One of her favorite songs to perform is called, “Whooplash!” Congratulations and thank you for all of your hard work!

December Regular Board Meeting Highlights!

November was career exploration month. During the month of November students in grades 3-6 created career slideshow presentations. Two sixth graders shared their presentations at the December Board Meeting.

The Doniphan West Sophomore Class will be hosting a Soup Dinner on Tuesday, December 16, during the home basketball games vs. Horton.

Serving begins at 5:00 PM and will include chicken noodle soup, chili, potato soup, and dessert.
