The JH STEAM Class enjoyed an educational visit to the McCauley Farm, where they learned how technology is used in modern agriculture.

Mr. Brad McCauley shared the importance of technological advancements in farming, discussing both the economic benefits and challenges they bring.

Students loved getting a close-up look at modern farming equipment and seeing firsthand how technology shapes today’s agricultural world.

What an exciting and unforgettable morning for the elementary students at Doniphan West! Over the last two weeks, PTO worked hard to raise money for new playground equipment, and students had so much fun bringing in donations to vote for who they wanted to “Kiss the Pig!” Thanks to their generosity and enthusiasm, approximately $200 was raised.

The 6th grade students selected this year’s contestants, which included Para Melissa Freeman, Bus Driver Dennis Hanlon, 2nd Grade Teacher Andrea Lorenz, retiring 5/6 Teacher Lisa Smith, and 5/6 Teacher Taryn Moore.

The excitement filled the building as students eagerly waited to find out who the “lucky” winner would be. With cheers, laughter, and big smiles all around, they learned that Mr. Dennis Hanlon was the big winner!

It was such a fun and memorable moment for everyone, and the students absolutely loved every second of it. Thank you, Dennis, for being a great sport and helping create such a special memory for our students!

WE BUILT A ZOO!! 🦁🐘🦒

Our 5th and 6th-grade students brought geometry to life with an exciting and fun Volume Zoo Project!

In this hands-on learning experience, students designed and built their own zoo animals using three-dimensional shapes while exploring volume and surface area concepts.

This creative project combined math, problem-solving, and imagination as students turned geometry into a real-world design challenge. From planning to building, students had a blast making learning both educational and fun!

To make the project even more special, students also presented and explained their animals to the rest of the student body, sharing their creativity and the math behind their designs!
