The Doniphan West Lady Mustangs defeated Belleville-Republic County today in the 1st round of Regional Softball in Onaga, KS. The final score was 7-3. The Mustangs will play again tomorrow at 1:30 pm (weather permitting)at Onaga in the semi-final round. #MustangPride

The Doniphan West Music Department would like to announce the April and May Musicians of the Month. Kindergarten Wakely Hawkins Wakely has been doing an amazing job in music. She is a polite student who listens well and follows directions, and she always does her best with her songs. Curt Smith Curt has been doing an amazing job in music this year. He works hard, listens well and does what is asked of him. While working on his songs, he puts a lot of effort in and does what he can to make himself a better musician. 1st Grade Demi Winchester Demi is a great student who always works hard in class. She does well at listening and following directions and always works to get better. Magnolia Allison Magnolia is a great student. She follows directions, listens well and gives a great amount of effort. Each day she comes to class, you know that you will get a great amount of effort from her. 2nd Grade Alayna Gilmore Alayna is a polite student who always works hard to get better. She does a great job at listening to instructions and following directions. She is kind to her fellow classmates and always gives her best. Finley Wilson Finley is new to our school and fits in perfectly with her class. She is attentive and works hard. She is a sweet and kind girl who always strives to do what is expected. 3rd Grade Jagger Lambert Jagger is a great student who works hard and does what is asked of him. Each day, he comes to class with a smile on his face. He does a great job with his songs and always tries to better himself. Mariah Steltenpohl Mariah is a kind student who works hard and always tries her best. She is very polite and is quick to do what is asked of her. She has been a great addition to the class this year. 4th Grade Emma Scholz Emma is a hard-working student who always strives to do her best. She does a great job listening and following directions and continually bettering herself. She is a great role model for her class. Alylah Sellars Alylah has been a great addition to her class this year. She does a great job listening to all instructions and following the directions. She works hard to improve and continually gives her best effort. 5th Grade Braylynn Clark-Ernzen Braylynn has been doing a great job in music. She does great at listening to and following directions. She has done an amazing job stepping up and working to get better in music and has recently joined band. Abby Winters Abby has been doing a great job with following directions and meeting expectations. She works hard in class and always wants to get better. She focuses to learn her songs and always puts in the extra effort. 5th Grade Band Steel Fuemmeler Steel has been working extra hard the last few months. His playing has changed a lot recently and he has quickly jumped to one of the top in the class. He has been showing so much improvement and all classmates are noticing. Hadi Idol Hadi works hard to make sure every note comes out right. She listens well and follows instructions. She always does a great job in class and is always pushing to get better. 6th Grade Arryanna Haulcomb Arryanna always has a smile on her face and uses good manners. She does a great job of listening to instructions and following directions. She works hard to learn her songs and consistently does what she needs to. Elaina Hallsworth Elaina is a hard worker who always has a smile on her face. She works hard to overcome any obstacle that may be in front of her and isn’t afraid to ask questions to get a better understanding. She is polite and does a great job listening and following all directions. 6th Grade Band Brayden Keller Brayden has been working hard to learn the trumpet and has been doing a great job. He puts a lot of effort in each day to get as good as he can. Brentten Hollister Brentten has been working very hard during band. He has shown great improvement of his abilities and has been more focused. Each day, he works hard to better himself. Junior High Band Kohl Zent Kohl is a great student who cares a lot about music. He does a great job listening, following instructions, and implementing what he has learned. He is very passionate about playing bass and is always trying to improve. High School Band Kynna Davis Kynna has done a great job this year. She works hard to get her parts down and always does her best. She has been willing to come in for extra help and has become the most improved in the trumpet section. 7-12 Choir Levi Garrison Levi has been working hard to become a better singer and learn his parts. He has done a great job stepping up and helping to lead the Baritone section. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work!
