I grew up in southeast Kansas as the son of a teacher/coach and a rancher. I graduated with honors from Uniontown High School. I graduated with an Associates of Art Degree from Fort Scott Community College. I attended North Texas State University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Pittsburg State University. I am certified by KSDE as highly qualified to teach K-12 Physical Education, PK-12 Health, and 5-8th Math. Throughout my 25 years of teaching experience, I have taught elementary, middle school, and high school physical education, health, and math courses along with also having been an In School Suspension teacher. I have been a teacher and coach at Doniphan West since 2014.

My favorite part of teaching and coaching is that I enjoy helping students achieve things that they thought were difficult while making it interesting and fun.
