I grew up in Troy, Kansas and graduated from Troy High School. I am a graduate of Highland Community College, Missouri Western State University, and Kansas State. I started teaching 3rd and 4th grade in 2021. My favorite part about teaching is working with the amazing kiddos and staff!

How we celebrate birthdays: If you choose to send treats with your child to celebrate their birthday, we celebrate birthdays at the end of the day, usually around 2:30. There are 25 students in 3rd grade.

I grew up in Highland, Kansas and graduated from Doniphan West. I received my bachelor's degree from Kansas State University. Currently, I am working on completing my Master of Arts degree for education through Kansas State University. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing kids grow in what they know and understand!

How we celebrate birthdays:
If you choose to send treats with your child to celebrate their birthday, please provide treats for their classroom (15 students). We usually celebrate about 2:30-2:45.

I grew up in central Missouri and attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. I have a bachelors in mathematics and a masters in Educational Leadership from Columbia College. I moved to Kansas because I married a farmer, Paul Johnson. I taught 4th and 5th grade in Columbia starting in 2013, and then one year of junior high at Doniphan West. My favorite part of teaching is the "lightbulb" moment when a student understands something for the first time. I also love math, puns, coffee, board games, and dachshunds!

How we celebrate birthdays:
My homeroom will celebrate at the end of the day (usually around 2:30.) We have 13 students in our homeroom, 27 students in the entire 4th grade, and 52 students in 3rd and 4th grade. It is student/parent choice how many treats they bring. Please bring enough for an entire class if you choose to bring any treats for students outside of our classroom.

Friday Folders (for all 3rd and 4th grades) go home on these days: January 20, February 3, March 3, March 24, April 6, April 21, May 5.
