We really appreciate donations of locally grown and processed beef for our students. Donors get a free family pass to activities, and documentation for possible tax advantages. If you don't raise beef but would like to contribute, you (or a group of people or a business) could purchase a beef from a local producer that the district would then have processed. This week, students in Mrs. Neibling and Mrs. Powell’s first-grade classes enjoyed a variety of fun, apple-themed activities. In writing, they shared ideas about how to be a "good apple" by practicing kindness and making good choices.

During math, students used Apple Jacks cereal to create graphs and practiced counting by tens. In science, they explored the life cycle of an apple—learning how it grows from a tiny seed into a delicious fruit.

It was a fun and engaging week of hands-on learning!
