DWES Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Don't forget to have your family decorated pumpkin at the school by 8:00 am Thursday for judging. We look forward to seeing your family's creativity.
Due to colder temperatures and winds, the costume parade will be held in the gym at 1:30. We hope to see you there.
DWES Librarian, Stacey Miner, invited Tyler Lupfer from the St. Joseph Mustangs to talk with students about the St Joseph Mustang Reading Program. For every 10 books read, students can earn prizes from the Mustangs.
Students can also earn free tickets to the St Joseph Mustangs Opening Night baseball game.

Notice to the public - between 5:15-6:45pm, DWHS XC runners will be running in the southbound lane of K-120 from Highland to Denton (DWES) with tonight's game ball. Consider taking an alternate route to the football field to avoid any delays.
1st grade finished their non-fiction apple unit with a sweet treat!
Bre Chalfant from Doniphan County Farm Bureau came to read with them. She read "Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie", which created many giggles in the class. She also provided each student with apple juice and applesauce. Thank you to the Doniphan County Farm Bureau for their help in bringing the farm to the classroom!
