The Doniphan West Music Department would like to announce the February Mustang Musicians of the Month! Kindergarten-Colt Kleinschmit Colt is a great student who works hard to learn. He tries hard when learning new things in music and actively participates. 1st Grade-Wakely Hawkins Wakely is a great student who works hard in class. She consistently listens and follows directions while putting in the effort to improve. 2nd Grade-Vinnie Petrik Vinnie works so hard to do the right thing and do what is asked/expected. He is a very polite boy and is very nice to his classmates. Vinnie does a great job in class and has a wonderful sense of humor. 3rd Grade-Paisley Sinclair Paisley has been a great addition to the class this year. She works hard and does an amazing job in school and music. Each day, she comes to class ready to learn and has a great sense of humor. 4th Grade-James McCauley James is a fun kid to have in class. His sense of humor is great, but he knows when to focus and work. He has done a great job learning the new information in class and does great at following directions and listening. 5th Grade-Emma Scholz Emma is a hard worker who consistently puts in the effort needed to learn and better herself. She is a great friend and classmate and helps push her fellow students to be better. 5th Grade Band-Eliza Johnson Eliza is a student who wants to learn. She follows directions and listens attentively. She stays calm and focused and practices often to better her playing. She is a great leader and a hard worker. 6th Grade-Mya Hennigan Mya is a great student who works hard and listens well. She does an amazing job focusing on getting work done and staying caught up. She is a very musically talented student, and her fellow students enjoy when she shares this talent with them. 6th Grade Band-Mya Hennigan Mya is attentive and respectful. She listens well and tries hard. She consistently takes her clarinet home and practices, showing the dedication it takes to be a great band member. 6th Grade Band-Lincoln Yurth Lincoln has done a lot of great work this year. He has shown great effort to learn the trombone, including coming in early for extra practice. He has been working hard in class and asking great questions. Lincoln shows a genuine interest in music and has recently started sitting in with the High School Pep Band. Junior High Band-Grayson Lee Grayson has been working hard this year to improve her talents on the flute. She is a great student and classmate who tries her best and always gives 100%. Grayson has a great sense of humor and is always a joy to have in class. Junior High Band-Juliet Pankau Juliet has been working hard to improve her ability in the percussion section. She has recently been spending more time learning to play the bells and the piano. High School Band-Ella Haynes Ella is an amazing leader in her section and in the band. She works hard and always plays her parts well. She sets a great example for all band members and is always willing to do what she needs to help her classmates. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work!!!
