Local Students Shine in Kansas Masonic Essay Contest
Congratulations to our students for their achievements in the Kansas Masonic Essay Contest!
Winners:
Kamryn McCauley (Senior)– 1st Place
Andi Foster (Junior)– 2nd Place
Ella Haynes (Senior)– 3rd Place
Each student received a monetary award from Smithton Lodge No. 1, and Kamryn’s essay has advanced to the State Lodge competition. Thanks to Anthony Rolfe and Smithton Lodge for presenting the awards.
The contest, open to Kansas high school juniors and seniors, challenges students to write a 300–500 word essay on an annual topic. Winners are selected locally and then at the state level, with an opportunity to win up to $4,000 at the state level.
