Dear Mustang Students, Parents, and Families,
As a school board, we are focused on building a bright future for every Doniphan West student. When this focus brings challenges, we are committed to working together, as a board, to listen to our constituents, consider the many diverse points of view, and put the future of our students, staff, and families first. This is hard work, and it is important work for everyone on this board.
On Monday night, we accepted the resignations of Principal Chris Lackey and Principal Trish Gibson, effective in June. We are incredibly grateful for the service these two leaders have provided over the years. They have made a difference at DWest, and we wish them nothing but the best as they begin their new chapters.
We have directed Superintendent Mrs. Ball to post openings for both positions and to collect feedback from families and staff to guide the hiring process. We look forward to collaborating as a district community to fill these openings with great education leaders. Working together, we can help our district continue good works and growth as we “Stampede to Excellence”.
