Doniphan West USD 111 continues to demonstrate outstanding academic achievement year after year — and this year is no exception. We are proud to share that our district has once again been recognized by Commissioner Randy Watson and the Kansas Department of Education with STAR Awards for Excellence in Education.
Earning STAR recognition is a significant accomplishment for any district, and we are honored to consistently receive not only STARs but Gold and Silver awards in the categories that matter most for the success of our students and graduates. This achievement reflects the exceptional commitment to excellence across all Kansas schools — and Doniphan West stands among the very best.

Librarian, Stacey Miner, kicked off the St. Joe Mustang Reading Program with an assembly at the elementary school.
Doniphan West Elementary had a great time at the NED’s Resiliency Ride assembly today!
Our guest speaker, Matt, wowed the students with some incredible yo-yo tricks while sharing an important message: Never Give Up, Encourage Others, and Do Your Best.
Students have the opportunity to purchase yo-yos over the next two weeks.

We started the morning with a delicious breakfast generously provided by First Option Bank, followed by a fun building scavenger hunt. The rest of the day was filled with valuable trainings to get us ready for a fantastic school year ahead!
