For the fifth consecutive year, Doniphan West High School has been named an Apply Kansas All Star High School. A total of 219 schools across the state earned this recognition for the 2025–2026 school year.
To qualify, schools must complete three steps -- host an Apply Kansas Day event, a FAFSA completion event, and recognize seniors for their postsecondary plans. Doniphan West hosted an Apply Kansas Day in October, giving seniors time during the school day to apply to colleges with support from Mrs. Schneider. In November, DWHS partnered with Highland Community College to offer a FAFSA Night, where the Director of Financial Aid (Kristi Blevins) provided guidance and answered questions for families. Currently, Senior Spotlights are being shared on the school website and social media pages to highlight participating seniors’ postsecondary plans.
