Free and Reduced meal application

YOU COULD GET PAYMENTS FROM THE STATE IF USD 111 SWITCHES TO REMOTE LEARNING AND YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS

The Continuing Appropriations Act, 2021 and Other Extensions Act (P.L. 116-159) extends Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) through the end of September 2021. In Kansas, Department for Children and Families (DCF) in collaboration with Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) will be administering these benefits.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:

IF your family is eligible for free or reduced meals AND USD 111 switches to remote learning, you could receive electronic benefits (money) through DCF. Both conditions would have to be met in order to receive payments. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF ANY PAYMENTS.

If you want to meet the eligibility requirements, YOU CAN FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS AT ANY TIME by following this link to print a paper copy https://tinyurl.com/y8t6pjfz or by contacting Anna Midyette at 785-359-6526 to receive a copy. Forms can be returned to either school office. Then if USD 111 goes to remote learning, you would meet both eligibility requirements.

IF YOU ARE ALREADY QUALIFIED FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS, NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED.

It helps our school district qualify for different programs to have students that are eligible for free/reduced meals, so we appreciate you taking the time to fill these out.
