Attendance and Reporting Absences

Here are just a few reminders concerning attendance and reporting absences.

When your student needs to be absent for any reason, contact the school office and let us know.  If your student needs to be absent because he/she is not feeling well, you will be asked specific questions about their symptoms.

If your student has tested positive for COVID-19, is ordered to quarantine by the county health department, or is in self-quarantine, he/she is still expected to attend classes virtually. If your student is not feeling well enough to attend virtually, the expectation is for you to contact us to let us know.

The county health department is unable to notify the school if/when specific students are tested for COVID-19, the results of the COVID-19 test, or if they have ordered your student to quarantine, so it is imperative that you, as parents/guardians, are communicating this information with the school office and school nurse.

The most important part of this is good communication. Thank you for your assistance with this.

Thank you.
