Update to Mobile Meal Program
USDA and Kansas Department of Education want to make free school meals available to any child, and understand that each family's situation is different as we navigate distance learning. They are now making it possible for parents/guardians, caregivers or siblings to pick up meals, even if all children are not present.
If you want:
Parent/Guardian to pick up meal at any location: you must email firstname.lastname@example.org by 10:00 on the first day you want to pick up meals. State your name, ALL of your children's names, and which location you will be getting meals from. After receiving your confirmation email, you'll know that we will be expecting either you or your children at that location each day.
Sibling/caregiver to pick up meal at any location: a parent/guardian must fill out the Consent for Volunteer Delivery form, and return it to school. We will have copies of the form available at the meal sites. Please include on the form the name of the caregiver or sibling that will be picking up the meals. The Consent for Delivery Form states for free/reduced students, but ANYONE is eligible to get these meals FREE (KSDE is allowing us to use a form we already have so we can implement this more quickly.) You can drop it off at one of the meal locations, or take a picture and email it to email@example.com. After your form is on file, we can send meals with the person you designate.
These steps are necessary for us to maintain program integrity, and receive federal and state funding for these meals.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message on our Food Service Line 785-442-3280 and we will get back to you.
