School's out! School's out! The much-anticipated last day of school finally arrived for D-West on Thursday, May 21 at 12:45 and eager students were ready to to begin their summer break. DWHS students finished the last few days of school taking finals, giving presentations, cleaning out lockers, and returning books. As the final bell approached a few students happily posed for photos.
The Doniphan West track team will be advancing six individuals to the state track meet this next week. Kenzie Blevins had a great day advancing to the state in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump, and triple jump. She placed 2 nd in the long jump, 3 rd in the triple jump and 200 meter, and 4 th in the 100 . . .
The Doniphan West Mustangs opened the class 2-1A regionals by taking on the McLouth Bulldogs. Looking to avenge a early season lost, the Mustangs jumped out to a early lead and never looked back.
